Hi, my name is Panagiotis Peikidis, but everybody calls me pek. I am a game engineer at TURBO Studios by day, and still a game engineer at TURBO Studios by night; because that’s how employment works.

I’ve been a professional game engineer for about 3 years now, but a programmer my entire life. I’ve shipped games on Facebook (Lucky Cruise Slots), iOS (USA Character Cards) and even Symbian (The History of Light). I’ve done projects in Java, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, Flash, qwbasic, you name it. Except for C++; don’t name that. I’ve worked on projects for Web, Desktop and Mobile. In short, I’m a jack of all trades, master of none.

In 2010 I got my BSc degree in Computer Science. For my final year project I developed a Starcraft: Broodwar bot using a Goal-Oriented Action Planning architecture called StarPlanner. A year later, I had the opportunity and honor to present it at the Paris Game AI Conference at the poster session. And that’s how I ended up being a game developer. Well that…. and the fact that I love playing video games.

I am a huge fan of Woody Allen’s work (books included).

Other activities include watching Stand Up Comedy (George Carlin, Dave Chappelle, Ellen DeGeneres, Jerry Seinfeld, Richard Pryor, Mitch Hedberg and many many many more), reading comic bo… erm… I mean, graphic novels (Alan Moore, Frank Miller, The Sandman, etc) and listening to music (mostly Jazz while programming).
